Beauty Worth the Bucks

I meant for this to go out last Thursday or Friday but illness kept that from happening.  I apologize for the delay!

I love a great beauty bargain but some products are worth splurging on.  Here are a few favs that I'm happy to shell out some extra $s for:

(1)    It’s a 10 Miracle Leave-In with Keratin ($19.99): I’ve used Johnson’s No More Tears since I was a kid.  It was hard to say good-bye to such an old friend.  But It’s a 10 works magic!  As a detangler, it works far better than No More Tears.  It also cuts down the time it takes to blow dry my hair, keeps my hair less fluffy when it air dries and makes it easier and faster to flat iron my hair.

(2)    Lorac Multiplex 3D Lipgloss in 3D ($22): Lip gloss is one of my favorite impulse buys.  With all the pretty shades and flavors, it’s sometimes impossible to resist trying a new one.  And I may have tried them all!  But I have finally, finally been kissed by enough frog glosses to find my prince gloss! This is the perfect lip gloss and well worth the $22 price tag.  It looks gold & glittery in the tube but it goes on as a rose nude with the most subtle sparkle that allows light to bounce off your lips in the most flattering way.  It glides on smooth and has no taste or smell.

(3)    Clinique True Bronze Pressed Powder Bronzer ($22.50): I’m not necessarily convinced this is the bronzer to end all bronzers but it does a pretty good job.  The powder goes on evenly and smoothly and the color is believable.  I’ve been using this for years in the shade “Sunkissed”.  It’s also just enough to get you that bonus gift when it’s Clinique Bonus Time and we all love those little extra treats!

(4)    Chi Silk Infusion ($26.95): This is probably the only product that I purchase where I hear the Ulta cashier proclaim “Wow…this is expensive”.  I’ve been using it since I was first introduced to the life saver that is the flat iron and it’s always worked well for me.  I use it as I’m styling my hair and also afterwards to smooth and shine my hair.

(5)    Macadamia Natural Oil Healing Oil Treatment ($13.50/1oz): Intense nourishment for tangle & frizz free hair…perfect for all hair types.  It leaves your hair smooth, shiny and manageable.  The smell is earthy and sensual.

  1. For me it's eyelash extensions. I go every 2 weeks and spend about $100 a month but I love them!!!
