Show Your True Colors!
It’s that time of year again…football season! The air is slightly cooler, the leaves are changing, the sound of cheering fans echoes from stadiums across the country...and men and women everywhere don the spirited colors of their favorite football teams. I know to some that follow/read my blog this particular edition will be of little interest to you. However, if you’re a die-hard football fan (whether it be college or pro), it is your duty to wear your team colors with pride and with style! I have located a few local retailers that provide a decent and adorable selection of collegiate and professional gear at affordable prices. Since I’m located in Georgia and a proud graduate of UGA, the pics will feature Georgia apparel. However, each of these stores also carries other local teams.

(1) Old Navy
The selection in stores is far better than what you will find available online. The selection does also vary by store. ON has taken it up a notch this year. Not only will you find your standard tees but also some with a little more personality and style. I have found two shirts there I absolutely love. They carry a selection for women, men, children and babies.

2) Victoria’s Secret
This retailer has a great selection of both Georgia and Falcons apparel and accessories. I’m not as big of a fan of VS’s college/pro gear as it’s a part of their Pink line and they feel the need to plaster “Pink” or phrases such as “I only kiss Georgia fans “ on almost all of the line. T-shirts and sweatshirts also tend to be very over-sized. However, if that’s a look you like, the designs can be quite cute.
(3) Von Maur
This department store can be found in Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, and Ohio. Their collegiate line (mainly Nebraska & Iowa) is also available online.
(4) Target
You’ll find a designated section for collegiate/pro wear in most Target stores. This retailer is great about carrying smaller local college gear as well. They have shirts, shorts, dresses, pajamas, accessories, etc. for men, women, children and pets. Your best bet is to visit your local Target. There isn’t much to be found online.
(5) College Station
This retailer has locations in Georgia, Tennessee and Mississippi. You can find the store in most malls and shopping centers. They also have an online store though the selection is very limited. I found many stylish Georgia tops at the Mansell Shops location in Roswell, GA. They sell clothing for all ages, accessories, home goods, fan gear, gifts, etc. in a wide variety of teams.
(6) Kohl’s
You’ll usually find a fairly small section of collegiate pants, shorts & tees in this store. They will carry the local teams. However, they have a very extensive selection online for schools countrywide. They are also having a great sale in store & online and as always you can use Kohl’s coupons.
